THE BEST PLACES TO RECHARGE

Sometimes it’s difficult to balance work with life but when I’m in need of a place to recharge my batteries these are my top getaways in no particular order.
1.) St. Regis — Deer Valley, Utah. This is definitely off the radar but during either the summer or winter, there’s something undeniably charming about this spot. Whether it’s taking their funicular up to the resort or sitting outside by one of their fire pits or enjoying the world class spa, it’s definitely a great place to unwind and detach from hectic city life or work schedule. While your there be sure to take in the spectacular wildlife scenic views at the Mountain terrace.

2.) While my entire family holds each other to high standards, I have to give my mom a round of applause for what she’s accomplished with her Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, VA. This one on my list is clearly close to home as she decided to decorate the place like the home I grew up in yet has been able to transform and amplify those memories with everything from zip lining to life sized chess set, to arguably one of the best brunches I’ve had. Lastly, when it’s you and your significant other be sure to try the couples retreat at the spa.

3.) The next resort has a bit of nostalgia for me as it’s the place where I asked my wife to move in with me. Amanzoe in Porto Heli, Greece. Instead of the “scene” in Mykonos or Santorini, here is hideout where you can take a load off and cozy up with your loved ones in this secluded paradise. Get picked up and dropped off by the resort’s helicopter while taking in the immaculate sights and ancient ruins that Greece has to offer. Another option at the property is to charter their boat for a quick day trip to the remote islands of Hydra and Spetses for a deeper dive into solitude.

4.) Yet another nostalgic memory of my honeymoon - the Maia resort in Seychelles might be the most magical place I’ve ever been to. The archipelago is immersed with mystical granite rocks, crystal clear water, white sandy beaches, and a plethora of exotic sea life. The island of Mahe is where we resided during our stay and I must say it’s legitimately paradise on earth. I have never experienced anything that comes close to it thus far. At the resort, each villa comes with a personal butler who makes breakfast daily and takes care of all your needs during your stay. Each day you’re surprised with things such as fresh coconuts, ready to drink or rose filled bubble bath in your outdoor tub or private candlelit dinners on the beach. The list could go on but you just need to experience it to fully understand the magnitude of what it has to offer.
